See what Porder reads from your photos, correct missing tags, and control what lands in the export.
What Porder reads automatically
Opening a photo pulls its EXIF block and fills the metadata tab:
- Camera make and model
- Lens specification
- Focal length
- Aperture, shutter speed, and ISO
- Capture date
These values feed the typography layouts directly, so the exposure strip under your photo is the real capture data, not typed-in text.
When a tag is missing or wrong
Older cameras, phones, and edited files sometimes arrive without complete metadata. The editor lets you correct or add any tag:
- Open the Metadata tab in the studio.
- Tap any field and type the correct value.
- Save; the frame preview updates as the typography re-renders.
Common fixes are lens names (“FE 35mm F1.8”) that camera firmware records as codes, and missing capture dates on scanned files.
Camera brand logos
The logo shown beside your typography is matched from the camera make. Sony, Canon, Nikon, Fujifilm, Leica, Hasselblad, Apple, and other major manufacturers have curated marks; unknown makes fall back to clean text.
What lands in the export
Exports preserve the original EXIF payload: the values shipped in the file are the ones you see in the editor after your corrections. Edited tags replace their original counterparts; everything else travels untouched.
